Plasma Processing Science Gordon Research Conference "Fundamental Insights in Plasma Processes", August 5 - 10, 2018, Smithfield, RI, USA

28.09.2017

Dear colleagues,

It is our pleasure to invite you to the 2018 Plasma Processing Science Gordon Research Conference (GRC), which will be held at Bryant University, Smithfield, RI, USA during the week of August 5-10. This GRC will be held in conjunction with the 2018 Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) - August 4-5, providing a unique 2-day forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience.

Please find a program of the GRS and GRC with the conference sessions and invited speakers in attachment.

More information can be found at

https://www.grc.org/programs.aspx?id=12575

https://www.grc.org/programs.aspx?id=14429

for the GRC and GRS respectively.

The program of the 2018 Gordon Research Conference on Plasma Processing and associated Gordon Research Seminar is devoted to discuss new and emerging topics and trends, with a focus on the mechanisms that contribute to the existing and future applications of plasmas.

The conference will bring together leaders in the field with junior investigators and graduate students. The special format of the Gordon Conferences, with programmed discussion sessions and ample time for informal gatherings in the afternoons and evenings, will provide for a fertile atmosphere of brainstorming and creative thinking among the attendees. New this year is a Late-Breaking Topics session. This session will have presentations selected from the submitted contributions from participants.

Participants are encouraged to showcase and present (oral and poster) their pioneering and unpublished research, discuss recent advancements and future directions with established leaders in the field, and build networks with their peers that will lead to a lifetime of scientific collaboration and achievement. Early career scientists are recommended to attend both the GRC and GRS.

We are looking forward to seeing you next year in Rhode Island.

Sincerely,
Peter Bruggeman (GRC chair)
Anthony Murphy (GRC vice chair)
Daniel Burkat and Adam Obrusnik (GRS chairs)
